Self-powered AM/FM/Shortwave radio with flashlight, solar power and USB mobile phone charger

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am very impressed with this little radio, it seems pretty sturdy and well made and is definitley louder than we expected. I tested the option to charge a mobile phone using an old iPhone 3G with a completely flat battery and within a few minutes of cranking I could start the phone up no problem. I doubt if anyone would have the strength to fully charge a phone with this feature but no-one should expect to. Just having the ability to add a few minutes worth of power is enough to put my mind at ease :) The charge indicator is showing that the battery is recieving a small amunt of charge from the solar cell despite the fact that I have only placed the radio near to a window and it is very dull and overcast outside. Oh and the torch is nice and bright. In short I would say this product is an entertaining swiss army knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In a word excellent. The radio has decent volume and reception without putting up antenna. The torch is very bright and it only took me approx 10 mins to charge a Samsung Galaxy apollo mobile to 20% of battery power using crank handle. Definitely would recommend this eco friendly compact radio. 5 stars easily!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The worse windup radio i have ever brought. The reception is not very good and it drift off the radio station. There are better wind up radios out there like the cheetah windup radio and the degen windup radio( both have excellent radio recepation and they cost much less to purchase one( under Ј20). if i was you i would look else where for a wind up radio. would never buy an eton radio again.
