Ever wanted to use your laptop hard disk in your desk top PC? Now you can. This simple to use cable enables you to plug your 2.5" HDD into a standard IDE controller. Great for backing up data at fast speeds or doing a full backup to protect your data.

Will this let me connect a 3.5" IDE drive to a 2.5" IDE connector on a laptop?
Asked by: C Liddell
No sorry this product does not support that.

I purchased your laptop hard disk to pc hard disk IDE cable, but unfortunately it did not connect to my laptop hard disk drive which is a Fujitsu MHK2060AT with just a single row connector. Do you supply a cable for this type of laptop hard disk?
Asked by: Roy Packham
This connector is standard across the 2.5" ide drive range, i would check your drive for any adaptors as these are common and should be removed before using with this cable.

Does the red stripe go on the pin one end if the 2.5 strip connector? or does the power go to that side?
Asked by: Mark
Pin 1 is always indicated by the marker/stripe

I have heard that prolonged use in connecting a laptop hard disk to PC's power supply can cause permanent damage to the laptop hard disk. Is this true?
Asked by: Kev
Not as far as we are aware.

Will this work with Dell laptop hard drives with a single row of connectors rather than two rows of pins? If not is there an alternative product that will work?
Asked by: Andy C
No sorry this product does not support that.
