What can I listen to with this radio?
Create your own retro FM radio with this great electronic kit. The kit comes with everything you’ll need to build the radio with a detailed instruction booklet. With 18 components have fun soldering and assembling the kit then relax to the sounds of your favourite music on FM radio. FM radios broadcast on very high frequencies or VHF which can be transformed back to music by your FM radio.

How do I put it together?
Learn electronics and try your hand at soldering. Some of the components are already attached to the board but there are also some components and connections to solder. Use the capacitors, resistor, potentiometers, microphones, speakers and more to create your detector. The detector had two knobs on the front - one controls the frequency (with a range between 87.5MHz and 108MHz) which you use to find the specific frequency the radio channel broadcasts on and the other controls the volume of the speakers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Over priced Purchased item on 5/9/2016 at Dundee branch item is vastly overpriced very little assembly required the wire included in kit is far to stiff and not very flexible double sided pad for antenna not up to the does however work with a bit of fiddling around and axe is nice biggest complaint over all is wire to stiff

Hi. Just need to know if this will still be useful after FM is switched off. Don't know exactly when but I read that all FM radio will be turned off one day in favour of DAB like a FM radio switchover like the digital TV switchover no more analog. Think it is something like 2015 last time I looked but they keep deciding to leave it on but if it does turn off will this still be useful?
Asked by: Andrew
It is planned that digital radio switchover will take place no less than two years after certain criteria have been met. The criteria are: National digital radio coverage to match FM coverage Local digital radio to reach 90% of the population 50% of radio listening to be on digital radio platforms
