Where can I use the snow machine?
This snow machine is perfect for creating a magical winter scene in a variety of venues. The high output and large snow volume mean it’s great for using inside the home to create a winter wonderland experience.

How easy is this snow machine to use?
This snow machine is simple and easy to use. Position your machine pointing in the area you would like to cover, plug the remote into the rear of the unit and fill the tank with your snow fluid. Once you have done this you can plug it in to the mains. As this unit doesn’t need to heat up the fluid, you can hold the button down on the remote controller and start the snow effect.

How do I know when the tank is empty?
When the snow starts to come out slowly or stops completely, turn off the machine to make sure you don’t damage your machine. You can then fill the tank again with the snow fluid to about two thirds full. For every litre of snow fluid, you will get up to 15 minutes of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to find this at a store nearest to us as out of stock on-line. For the price it does everything you want it to do. But the writing on the web does not mention its INDOOR use only (I would never have this indoors, alot of snow is produced for a little machine :-). We have overcome this by putting the bird table in the porch and when we want it on, it stays out there blowing into the garden, but is covered up from damp etc. Comes inside main house when not in use. For the price cannot complain. Also April at Tunbridge Wells store very helpful, thank you for making an 8 year old boy very happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy Bought this machine last year, worked great, just got it out of the cupboard this year and it no longer creates snow. Fan works but no fluid going through and from other reviews it sounds like the same has happened to other people. Very disappointed in a relatively expensive machine not to last more that a couple of goes when first bought! Maplin Moderator Note: Prior to storing the snow machine the unit requires a thorough clean after each use. Not cleaning the unit fully can result in the system clogging and can cause damage to the unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Problem fix Have had a couple of these machines. I noticed that the flow off snow would drop after a few minutes use. The problem is there is no air hole in the fluid tank top. Thus the pump has to work extra hard to pump the fluid. I solved this by drilling a 1mm hole in the tank top. If the makers of this machine could only put a air hole in the tank top the pump would not fail!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good machine if flushed out I have a couple of these machines and they work year after year when cleaned out with fresh water before storing. This year one had stopped working so I opened up the unit took the pump apart and cleaned it. It is very easy to do just unplug the unit before you start and note the order the small parts come out of the pump clean them and put it back together you may need a thin wire to clean out the small hole in the fitting on the end of the pump. The pumps don't burn out they just get clogged up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty Used this machine twice over one Christmas, tried using it the next year but didn't work. Won't waste my money again...by the sounds of it from other reviewers the pump burns out so why has this issue not been resolved? Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pros: - Very effective effect - powerful, good distance & volume Cons: - effectively just a bubble machine with some cloth to create smaller bubble clumps (i.e. snow) - as loud as a small vacuum cleaner

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working Purchased this unit two years ago. Used very successfully over the two Christmas periods. Unit thoroughly cleaned before storing on both occasions. Ready to use it for a third time this year, but no chance, pump not working at all. Tried cleaning again with hot water in the tank and down the feed pipe, but all to no avail. Looking forward to some very upset children this Christmas.

How do you clean the snow up? If you use it outside will it just disperse naturally?

Asked by: john
This item does not produce Real Snow. It produces a foam that does disperse naturally after a couple of minutes.

How far does the snow machine throw the snow? I'm thinking of using it for Xmas dinner and making it look like its snowing outside, so I guess it may need to be high up, I was hoping to angle it upward if possible. Any ideas please?

Asked by: SierraGolfPaul
It would depend on the environment it was being used in, the standard throw would only be a few feet. As it is a foam based effect, if you were to use it outside, wind direction and strength would be the controlling factor.
