This GPS sports watch has a "Ride" mode that makes it suitable for recording cycling activities. You do not have to worry about the rain or about your GPS sports watch getting wet because it is water resistant to 50m.
How can the Edge Forerunner 620 help me during a run?
The Edge Forerunner 620 features a backlit touchscreen with high resolution colour so that you can clearly see your information whilst running. In addition to this, the Edge Forerunner 620 has four haptic buttons so you can instantly start the timer or perform other controls.
The built-in GPS tracker plots exactly where you run. This running information can then be seen on a map on a computer after your run. The regular timer screen on the Edge Forerunner 620 will display your distance travelled, time elapsed and pace. Whilst your smartphone is connected to your GPS smartwatch you can use LiveTrack, allowing friends and family to follow your route in real-time.
The Edge Forerunner 620 has smart functions including a race time predictor and recovery time recommendation, which it learns from observations about your running. A colour meter allows you to quickly compare how aspects of your running compares to the average runner of your gender and age. Using the virtual partner functions allows you to train against a virtual athlete who runs at a pace that you set.
The Heart Rate Monitor - Run Edition wirelessly sends heartbeat data and acceleration data to the Edge Forerunner 620, giving you more detail about your fitness and your running dynamics. The Heart Rate Monitor is not included.
How can the Edge Forerunner 620 help me before and after a cycle ride?
The Edge Forerunner 620 records your running history on the watch itself for up to 1,000 laps. The GPS sports watch syncs to either your phone using Bluetooth or to your network using Wi-Fi.
When the Edge Forerunner has synced to Garmin Connect you can view a more detailed breakdown of your run including your pace and where you have run overlaid on a map.
Garmin Connect allows you to share your running statistics with friends and family, to keep motivated and reach your fitness goals.
