About this product

Product overview

• Answering machine
• Caller ID display Information
• Caller memory Information 250 entries, 3 numbers per entry
• 20 ringer melodies and 19 real sounds

The Gigaset C620A has been designed to simplify your family's life. It features a large 1.8" graphical display that gives you user-friendly direct access to functions, making it a practical solution to your day-to-day calling requirements.

Key Features

Store up to 55 minutes of messages on the high capacity answer machine. The handset and base both feature 'new message' lights and the time and date of the recording is played back every time you listen to your messages. A skip-back function will also replay the last few moments of a message, so you can finish writing down important details.

Time-controlled call silencing allows you to set your phone to silent at specified times so it won't wake you when you sleep or disturb some much needed peace and quiet. Instead, calls will show just on the handset, so you can still be aware of them if you need to be.

Anonymous call protection works in conjunction with the caller ID service from your provider to let you mute or withhold calls from certain numbers, or even blacklist up to 15 numbers, so you can avoid calls from undesirables.

A 'babyphone' function will turn your phone into a baby monitor, with settings instructing it to make internal or even external call alerts when your baby wakes up. You can alter the sensitivity of the alert and it even features a talkback function that can be useful for talking to older children from another room.

The C620A employs High Sound Performance (HSP) to deliver clear, loud voices without static or fuzz, even when you're using the handsfree speaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look Good So Far: Its a Keeper Bought this system because the box said it was a "Which Best Buy" and said it will block nuisance calls and I needed something to replace my now failing DECT system. Have used the calendar organiser with alarm: GOOD. You can transfer your favourite phone numbers between handsets and a couple of other ticks not found on my earlier phones. Why it does SMS is a mystery but generally, as a phone I'm very happy with it so far. I am currently getting buried by SPAM calls and this set has a nice feature to black-list callers you don't want, either silent ringer, block or allow. You get to transfer these numbers from the call log to the editable black list. You can also block anonymous callers on option. What it won't do is block the anonymous international callers I'm currently getting buried by. This is a major drop-off in an otherwise neat little phone. It claims to be eco-friendly and uses what appears to be switch-mode PSU. My old set used transformers which run hot. Also uses replacable AA sized NiMH batteries: Really GOOD. An included baby monitor feature that can be used to ring another external phone/mobile (you give it the phone number) or other internal handset when triggered by a noise or mayber burglers. The handset also has a useful analogue clock display while on its holder. Not over impressed with the extensive list of ringer tunes or how loud they are. At one level the kit maybe a bit too clever, a couple of features I can't or won't use and other good features buried under a list of odd key strokes. Currently I'm keeping the excellent manual close to me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No phone finder It is a good phone, I bought a Triple Dect phone. Two of the phones perform well but the one in the bedroom does not work, it is marginally out of range. This obviously is an important phone, unless there is a solution to boost the signal I will have to return it.In the past I have had BT and Panasonic phones, there has been no signal problem with them. Perhaps I can swop it for a Panasonic?

Does this set have a 'shared phone book' so when you enter or change a number on one handset it appears on all handsets. The same for clearing missed calls, etc?

Asked by: Steve
Each C620A handset on the system has a separate phone book. However, the menu includes features to transfer either a single entry (the new entry) or the entire local phone book to another C620 handset on your system. This process needs to be repeated for each handset as needed. So, load up one handset then beam the entire phone book to the sibling handsets. The missed/blocked calls feature seems to be managed by the base station. I've not noticed any issues managing this from whatever handset is convenient.

How long is the power cable please.  I need 3meters as the power socket is one side of the front door and the telephone line socket is the other side!

Asked by: Zsa Zsa
Unfortunately the power cable for this unit is only 1.8m in length, rather than extend the power cable, it may be easier to purchase a longer BT to RJ11 cable such as this one.
