Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable bit of kit Bought one of these about 5 years ago with a remote control and its been reliable and is great for turning lights out (especially with kids!) The PIR has a good range and the green glow makes it look cool too! The sensor switch has a few switches inside the body which can be set for certain light levels, can serve as a dusk til dawn security light etc. Double clicking an on switch will turn the light on for 2 hours so good if you want the light to stay on whilst you're doing stuff and are constantly in and out of the room but don't want to keep switching it on manually. The light sensor is adjustable so will automatically switch to PIR when natural light levels are low and turn on when someone passes the PIR. I only have 2 problems with this switch. One is sometimes the light turns on by itself (strange) and two, the light sensor will only switch to PIR mode at a certain natural light level. There should be an option to switch the light into permanent PIR mode so the light comes on whatever the natural light level. Apart from that this is reliable and well built and looks cool.

How deep is this unit?
Asked by: Steve
The switch has a total depth of 36mm, and needs a backbox of at least 18mm deep in order to flush mount the switch. If your backbox is shallower, there is an extender frame supplied which will make the switch stand out from the wall. RW
