Rated 3 out of 5 by from Annoyingly Noisy Without this unit my HD was in the mid-40°C but with it installed it was in the low 30s. The unit started off quite quietly but after running for 30 mins, the noise was terrible. It was so annoyingly noisey I bought a twin in-line switch and soldered it between the wires of each fan so I can have them both off or have one or both on - depending on temperature. No screws are included. Next time, I would go for the Akasa hard drive cooler Maplin sell.

How thick is the whole unit? (I ask because I have two HDDs and there is limited space under each one)
Asked by: Jonathan
The drive takes up around 1/2 a bay in total in addition to the HDD
