Rated 3 out of 5 by from They are made of aluminium and do not provide much closing tension, so it is a challenge to secure them properly to the component leg. A crocodile clip on the end - while a bit of a faff - will suffice to secure them to components and they do then provide good thermal relief.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple to use. A very practical tool to use when soldering delicate heat sensitive devices. Obviously it has to be used with common sense and will not protect against cooking a component with the soldering iron. It worked well for me.
