Rated 1 out of 5 by from doesnt fit standard crimp connectors ! i bought this to use on car wiring, to re-wire a heater fan i also bought various crimp connectors at the same time. only to find that the tool did NOT fit the connectors i had, the "grooves" in the tool just dont fit ! there either too large or too small , they either dont crimp enough or totaly distroy the insulation on them.PLUS the tool i was sold ISNT the one shown on there website. ie no colour coding or as many "grooves" . mine had 4 grooves and wasnt coded in colour. very disappointed. i ended up having to re-buy another tool that was usefull enough to do the job. try and avoid ..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total Failure A useless waste of money! Using properly matched cable and crimps the result was pathetically useless - the conductor crimp was far too loose and easily pulled apart by hand. Put into service this would have failed almost immediately - perhaps dangerously. Tried a few other crimps (red, blue and yellow) each with correctly sized cable; none were serviceable. The crimping dies are wrongly dimensioned both in the compression applied and the spacing between insulation and conductor crimp positions and hence the tool cannot work.

How do I adjust the crimping strength on this tool? I have one only it seems to be crushing the crimp too much. Thanks

There is a small silver screw that needs to be removed. Then you can rotate the notched part anticlockwise and put the screw back to hold its position.
