Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value, excellent quality Barring a few minor niggles, very happy with the purchase. The niggles are that on switching on, the TV signal routed through the Humax freezes for abt 5 secs. Also would be nice to have indication of time elapsed & time remaining of recorded programmes on display panel. Otherwise great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great I was not satisfied with this product as I had the older Humax PVR 9300T which was superior. Humax PVR 9300T had a more readable and fuller program menu. The recorded programs listing was not as simple as expected, the words were hard to read and tiny. Overall the display of menus and the lack of simplicity that the PVR 9300T had.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Device pretty good and certainly easy to use. But it seems to have a problem with the signal in our area [countryside near Folkestone] as it often fails to record. I will be fitting a better aerial, but the old recorder managed OK with the old aerial.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Picture sticks I bought one of these in July and had no problems until the picture started sticking (channel 20). This spread to channels 3 and 4 and very occasionally 1. The unit was replaced, but the same thing has started to happen with the replacement. I have a Manhattan set-top box which has worked perfectly - no picture sticking. I can only give it 1 star as the picture sticking would ruin any recording I wanted to keep. This is a pity, as my mum (77) can use this unit with no problem and everything else works ok - even being able to copy recordings to an external device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use Hi bought this and basically pleased, my only niggle is you have to go into the TV guide to view your scheduled recordings but into a different place to see an view your recordings. Maplins price matched which is why I always go there

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to set up easy to set up and use, I have had no issues with the signal and only use a plugin in aerial which I have always used for the TV upstairs

On this occasion Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.
