Want to record your acoustic performances?
Capture the unique sound of your acoustic guitar, bass or ukulele with this iRig interface. Just clip the microphone onto your stringed instrument and plug the interface into your iPhone or iPad to get started. With its small unobtrusive microphone, you won’t even notice it while you’re playing. The iRig Acoustic comes with a 3.5mm lead to connect to your devices. It also has a 3.5mm port that you can use to listen to your recordings with headphones, or as a line out to a mixer or powered speaker so everyone can enjoy your performance.

How does it work?
The iRig Acoustic comes with a mic that clips onto the rim of the sound hole of your instrument so you can record the sound of any stringed instrument with a circular sound hole. The MEMs microphone is omnidirectional to pick up all the sounds your guitar produces and has a frequency response of 15-20,000Hz so you can hear everything.

Turn your phone into a mixer
The iRig acoustic comes with the AmpliTube Acoustic FREE app, which you can download from the app store. The app comes with setup and calibration tuned to acoustic instruments and will help you get your recording pitch perfect. You can equalise your music or add effects using one of the three amp models. You can also change the sound of your guitar with the body modeller, which is ideal for times when you really need the tone of nylon string or Parlor guitar. Use the guitar you’re comfortable with and use the 12 string emulator or ‘Bass Maker’ for the feel you want – opening a range of sounds for you.

N.B. Phone and guitar not included

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I rig acoustic I've been using this product for several weeks now and must say it sounds really good when you get use to tweaking the software. It does not fit one of my guitars a Morris tornado but selotaping it to the sound hole did the trick. It feels a little bit flimsy for stage use and would only use it in the home studio. But for a decent acoustic guitar recording its great and not too expensive. I would recommend this unit for anyone wanting a decent sound without having to mess about positioning mics and telling the wife and kids to be quite.
