Product overview

• Park your car safely and easily using wireless camera technology• 2.4-inch screen mounted colour monitor• Monitor is powered from the cigarette lighter socket (DC 12V only)• Camera connects to the reversing light and automatically transmits when reverse gear is selected• Camera has a wide 110° horizontal and 80° vertical viewing angle• Complete with adapter plates to fit to the majority of number plates• Ideal if you are towing a caravan or trailer• Kit contains all fixings and attachments required for easy self-installation

We have all at some point struggled with reversing into a tight spot, or sometimes gone that little too far. Well now with this ingenious device you can actually see what is behind you and prevent those nasty shocks when we inadvertently hit an obstacle. Simple connection of the camera and monitor can give you that third eye facility as the camera transmits to the small colour screen when you select reverse gear offering the drive a means to safe and effective parking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad for cost. Had much worse from auction site. If towing a caravan, may need to move transmiter around to get good reception. Screen is very small but works well and you are able to change between mirror view and normal view.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not all that impressed with this item. A bit hit and miss with the reception at times. I think I would have preferred a wired system. Its good to watch TV without sound as you drive around town though.

I have a motobilty vechile and I am not at all good at fitting anything electrical, would I be better taking it into the dealer. Another point is, as the car is only 3months old and came as new I know thereis not a cigareete lighter

Asked by: stripey1877
You would most likely need professional help fitting this, which for a new car the dealer would be recommended, but also as this is a mobility vehicle, which from my understanding you return after 3 years, i would advise checking your agreement as you may not be allowed to modify the car in anyway. Also this item does require a cigarette socket type power supply so if you don't have this none of our reversing cameras would be suitable, but I thought the above information would be relevant if you are looking for this type of item.

what is the maximum distance between the camera and the receiver. Would it work over 60 ft? (FYI I want to use it on a narrowboat) Regards

Asked by: hiefk
These are designed for very short broadcast range, e.g. from the back of a standard family car to the dashboard. It would not be suitable for your intended application over such a great distance.

I have such a device fitted to my motorhome. I find it very useful, however, in my opinion the monitor is too small. Is it possible to fit a larger monitor on this equipment, and if so, which monitors are recommended. Thank you so much for your assistance. Regards, George Calleja
Asked by: George Calleja
We have no other monitors for that product unfortunately .

My car wiring is canbus so when I wired up towbar electrics it required a relay as the light feed is control signal only. Will I have the same issue with the reversing light or will that be on a direct power feed?
Asked by: Brian
It should be fine without, as the legal requirements for a reversing camera state it should only come on when the vehicle is in reverse.
