The kit comes with full instructions for ten experiments, and the opportunity to experiment and come up with your own projects as you become more familiar with the BBC micro:bit. Experiment and learn how to control a motor, use an LED and use the inputs to create new and different inventions. This is a perfect kit for those new to the BBC micro:bit and those looking to expand on what they can do with it.

What can I learn?
Learn how to create circuits, then experiment with the prototype breadboard and build your own. The kit comes with push buttons, a mini LDR and a potentiometer as input devices to accompany the inputs already built into your BBC micro:bit. These inputs start any given circuit and affect everything subsequent to them. There are also a wide range of outputs in the kit – including coloured and RGB LEDs, motors and fans. These components show the effect of the inputs, and are usually the final part of your circuit. The kit also includes resistors, capacitors and transistors to connect the circuit together. All of these components plug into the breadboard – which is quick and easy to set up and change.

How do I set the kit up?
The BBC micro:bit slots easily into the edge connector, so you can build your inventions without worrying about fitting them onto the board. Different programs with let you do different things with the same parts – and you can build bigger and more elaborate projects using the prototype board to experiment. All you need to get going is a power source, a screwdriver and your imagination.
