Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good at scanning in prints and negatives which I then display in a 15" digital picture frame. The quality of the well handled embarrasing prints of Inlaws still come out well when displayed on a big screen. Haven't yet tried possitve slides but there is equipment supplied for this. Read the booklet after you have done a couple of prints and you will be able use some of the other functions like cropping. Flipping and reversing the image is usefull when the negative is put in the wrong way around, particularly noticable when there is a writing in the picture! Buy one, how can you go wrong? Sell it after you have done all your pictures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ION Pics 2 SD works well into a memory card and is very easy to use. I have used it to scan 35mm colour transparencies. The resolution is similar to a good TV camera but not quite as good as the original film. Its much better than other film scanners that I have tried, recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just arrived this afternoon. I would agree instructions are not of the best. Tried with mixed results to upload direct to PC. Loading to local card is a doddle. I have not found much need to modify slides/photos before digitising but you can do afterwards on the PC. With a 5Mb/10Mb image you can blow pictures up pretty well. I am a happy bunny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As an o.a.p. found it a doddle to use transferred from sc card to p.c to flash drives to send to family no prob! Worked straight from box.copied photos slides 35mm negatives

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The product does what it says. In a matter of a few hours I digitised around 200 photos and 35m slides. The only drawbacks I have found is that I haven't mastered saving straight to the PC although a 2GB card I bought allows me to use the unit without the PC. The one thing that this unit won't do is old photo negatives (pre 35m). That is a shame as I have a number of those.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful quality results The output from this scanning either photos or negatives is truly awful. Barely good enough for social-media posts and nowhere close to good enough for preserving treasured memories. I returned it and for less money bought an Epson V370 flatbed scanner which has a negative/slide scanner. The quality is dramatically better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality scanning, stopped working. I had high hopes for this device. The concept is good, but I found the quality of the scan was poor. Actually, it doesn't scan, it just photographs your print with it's internal camera, and though it works ok I found I could see shadows of the internal mechanism. Also, just over a year old, it stopped working and Ion would not repair or exchange it. We had only scanned about 50 pictures.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Generally a good device. However too limited in adjustment controls. My unit clipped highlights on a correctly exposed slide, the only adjustment, EV slightly helped with highlights but caused the rest of the image to be under exposed. Could do with access to clip levels and gamma curves.
