Rated 3 out of 5 by from If you're looking for a "does what it says on the tin" approach then this little box fits the bill. Positives include- it works, it transfers music into mp3 and puts it into your itunes. Negatives-silly design, no, stupid design, it looks like a cheap and nasty piece of plastic. Using it is a real time conversion so if you are short on patience or time or both then this might not be the product that you are looking for. Software supplied is adequate but basic. Summary- good value for money, does the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the Job! I bought this to convert audio from a record turntable to USB format input. Instead of the supplied software, I used AUDACITY and it worked quite well "out-of-the-box". I didn't even look at the instructions - it's that easy! Very intuitive really. The only thing I had to do was to select the appropriate laptop (Lenovo) sound card settings to make it accept the input signal. There you have it; because all it simply does is convert analogue audio signals to USB digital format, it appears that you can whatever recording software you fancy. I'd recommend this product all day long.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks a bit ridiculous, as if it fell out of a Christmas cracker! But seems to work well. Easy to set up and use, software quite basic and a little clunky but all in all it does what itФЗЦs supposed to and is good value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as my title says, what more could you want. I purchased this unit for ?ъ19.99 , and to be honest I thought here we go another night of hair pulling around the old desktop. How wrong was I , it really is that simple , plug and play absolutely brilliant. Biggest surprise of all was that my old deck still works after at least twenty years sat in the loft.... Thanks Maplin well done again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Its as Bad as it Looks Initially bought a ION turnable, returned that within about a week as the needle kept sliding accross my vinyl. So advised this instead. Intialy thought looks cheap but hope its better, and initially seemed easy to work. Problem was, I got an echo everytime. Checked my settings, tried ION's troubleshooter still nothing. Even tried emailing them but they didnt even bother to reply. Not impressed with ION at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy`est vinyl to C.D. transfer device I bought this piece of software a few weeks ago, and although it`s appearance is laughable it works like a dream. It is so easy to use, unlike Audasity,Ashampoo,Magic cleaning. Even a silver surfer like me can use it. £20 quid and its solved all my problems

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant easy to use Had this for a while now and it's great. Love the design and the results are so much better than a USB turntable, you get to use a proper piece of Hi if.

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee full compatibility for this item with the DAB radio, as this is not the manner for which it was designed to be used.

Can I record a program off my DAB radio using the Jack lead in the back of my Radio straight on to my USB stick and also can I play it back straight away from the USB?

Asked by: Sdn97
I am sorry but this item will not do everything you require, this item is placed between the unit you are looking to capture audio/video from and then connected to a computer via USB.

Does the device work with low output moving coil cartridges?

Asked by: Bazz
It doesn't matter what the device being connected is. It simply has inputs for audio and will capture whatever audio device you connect to it.

Is this s/w or h/w? Does it split the tracks into separate files automatically EASILY? Can the MP3 files be included within the 'albums' (stored CDs) area of such as Zune or Windows Media? Or is conversion of LPs a major problem?

Asked by: Terence
It's a combination of software and hardware, however despite it's appearance it isn't a record player (it's about the size of a cigarette pack). The converter would take the signal from your existing turntable (phono outputs) and convert it to digital and pass the data to your computer. The software running on the computer records and then encodes the data as files of your choosing. The software listens for silences between the tracks and splits the recording into separate tracks based on that. You would have to name the tracks manually
