Update: iOS 9.1 solves Bluetooth connection problem
On September 16th 2015, Apple released a new version of iPhone and iPad software, called iOS 9.0. iOS 9.0, 9.0.1 and 9.0.2 introduced a problem that causes Bluetooth to be switched off when you try to pair the Card Reader Pro or Pro Contactless. We recommended that you didn’t update.
On October 22nd 2015, Apple released iOS 9.1, which solves the problem. You can now feel free to update.
Incorrect error message
You may see an incorrect error message if you pair a new card reader for the first time, or reconnect a card reader that you have previously unpaired. The message appears in the Bluetooth settings screen on your iPhone or iPad and reads "Connection Unsuccessful. Make sure "iZettle XXX" is turned on and in range." In most cases, you can ignore this error message as it is not correct.
When you dismiss the message by tapping "Ok", check that "Connected" appears beside "iZettle XXX" under "My devices" in the Bluetooth settings screen on your iPhone or iPad.
If you see "Connected", then the card reader has successfully paired and you can use it to accept card payments in the iZettle app.
If you see "Not Connected", then the card reader has not successfully paired. In this case, read our support page, Connecting a Card Reader Pro via Bluetooth and try again.
