Rated 1 out of 5 by from My experience with this Ultra 7000 cleaner has not been a good one. I have had Two within 24 hours. The first one never worked! Maplin was contacted who Immediatly sent a replacement on an overnight delivery ( thank you Maplin, for your support you cannot be faulted)! The replacement arrived by courier the following morning, So I filled it as per the manual, placed some small objects in, then set the timer pressed the start, 90 seconds later the buzz of the transducer stopped! No more cleaning could be acheved as it seems there was no output from the ultrasonic transducer. yherefore from my experience with this cleaner I cannot give it any recommendation for purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect machine for cleaning small objects. I use mine to clean brass ammunition cases before reloading. It makes a very tedious, slow job very quick and effortless. Also used it to clean diamond rings, necklaces etc with superb results. The SeaClean solution provides really good anti-tarnishing too. I use my James USonic cleaner at least twice a week. Follow the instructions carefully, always use cold or warm water, not hot, allow to cool between cleaning cycles and you'll not be dissapointed. Fantastic service from Maplins again too! Thank you very much

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really good for cleaning spectacles with a few drops of washing up liquid in hot water but you do need the special cleaning solution to make a good job of tarnished jewellery. I also use it for cleaning the coffee funnel in my espresso pot because grounds accumulate in the enclosed area of that and a few minutes in this device makes them all fall out. Some people say it works OK for cleaning razors but although it helped, I wouldn't say it was particularly effective on them. All things considered, I'm really glad I bought it and I'm still experimenting to discover new uses for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I didn't really know what to expect, but bought one while on offer - to see what it would do. I have only used it with tap water and a trace of washing-up liquid, having to declined to buy the rather expensive 'special liquid'. It made a good job of removing engrimed dirt from nooks and crannies on watch bracelets, etc. Will it make tarnished coins shine like new? No. It's the sort of thing that's useful to have for occasional use. I imagine that most users clean everything in sight when they first get it, and that it then sits on a shelf for a long time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I got a 7000 as a Christmas present, my major hobby is making models and there is only so much that you can clean out of an airbrush with either solvents or airbrush cleaner and a wire brush. As airbrushes can be quite expensive (my next one is over ?ъ200) they really should be looked after, this does a fantastic job, the inside of the airbrush looks brand new. If you are thinking about getting one of these, don't think, just get it, you will not be disappointed. - Steve

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought this on impulse thinking it might work - it does! Fill it with warm water with a dash of washing up liquid and in three minutes my specs are clean. The dirt just lifts out of all the little awkward corners that are so difficult to clean. Had to do it twice the first time, but now I just use it once a fortnight. Also, it feels quite well made.

It clearly states that this can be used to clean printer heads in its blurb, but according to the assorted people inquiring, it cannot do this function, which begs the question if not, why it it still listed as so being?. A 100% answer would be nice:)
