Protect your 12V or 24V battery
Letting devices completely drain your battery can damage your battery over time. This battery protection module prevents this by keeping an eye on the power the battery is producing. If it gets too low, the module switches off the devices connected to it, before switching them back on when the power increases again.

You can connect a 12V or 24V DC battery to the module and it will automatically recognise the battery type before adjusting its low battery criteria. You can adjust the point at which the module cuts off devices between 9.8V-11.3V for a 12V battery and 20V-23.2V for a 24V battery. The switch-on voltage will be approximately 1.2-1.6V higher than the interrupting voltage. The battery protection module can be used with a maximum continuous switching capacity of up to 20A with sufficient cooling or a peak of 40A for a maximum of 10 seconds.

Connect up quickly and easily
The built-in spade terminals on the module make it simple to connect your battery and devices and switch them over. A built-in LED lights to let you know whether power is being supplied, and an optional buzzer sounds for approximately 17 seconds when the power runs low. The battery protector should be set up somewhere with good ventilation to help get the maximum heat dispersal, because if the module overheats it will shut off until it cools down again.

What size heatsink is required when drawing the maximum current from this unit? The Kemo site refers to adequate cooling when drawing the maximum current but without any details of what is meant by adequate cooling.
