Product overview

• Charges 2 sealed lead batteries from the same power source• Ideal for use in motor homes, boats and caravans• 20A maximum

Using this module it is possible to charge two 6-24V lead acid batteries (e.g. car batteries) from the same power source. The charging current is distributed in such a manner that a discharged battery is charged more intensively than a battery which is almost charged. Ideal for use in motor homes, boats or caravans where the TV, radio, etc. is operated from one battery and the second battery must remain charged for starting the motor.

can this be fitted on to a 12v car battery to charge a leisure battery while engine running

Asked by: brian
No we would not recommend this as a running car could generate between 40 and 80 amps, where this is only suitable up to 20 amps.

Thinking of putting a battery in the back of my van to power a inverter, Will this device completely stop charging when the battery is full? Don't want to risk overcharging.

My alternator is 95 Amps on my 2.5l LDV convoy.  Is the 20 Amps max correct? as vehicles will be more than 20A

Asked by: skippermart
The 20 amps is correct as these would commonly be used in solar panels installations on caravans etc rather than direct from an alternator, this type of item would not be suitable to be used from an alternator.
