With up to 1 watt output per channel and two channels, this great amp kit (manufacturer code 1041-JK) is a fun way to play music. An on/off switch, power LED and volume control are built into the 21 piece kit. Just plug into a 3.5mm stereo socket (a standard small headphone socket) and listen to your music. This kit requires a DC 2-15V power supply, a single 9V(PP3) battery (not included) or a DC 12V power supply (not included) are recommended.
What is included in this kit?
Learn about electronics and circuits and practice soldering with this kit. The kit uses resistors, capacitors, potentiometers, LEDs, microchip and speakers. Learn how they are connected in a circuit and get practical experience soldering them. Use the components to create this amplifier and see how they come together in a circuit. The kit amplifies the voltage and current of the input signal with the amplifier integral chip (a NJM2073D chip) and the potentiometer (or variable resistor) works as a volume control. The signal is then transferred to the speakers which translate it into sound. This kit requires soldering and may require wire cutters.
How difficult is this to solder?
This is a medium level of difficulty to solder, ideal for novices that want to challenge themselves or those with some experience. The kit comes with two 8 ohm 66mm speakers and a 3.5mm jack lead. You can build your own enclosure (not included) to protect the electronics and make your own audio system.
