This is a versatile Relay Board Kit from Kitronik that can easily be configured via jumpers and trimmer potentiometers to do a range of tasks.

Most sensor and switches can be connected to the input of the board and the trigger level set for the input device. This can be inverted if required, then there is the option to feed this straight to the relay or a timer of up to 25 minutes can be used. The board can run off any voltage from 4.5 to 6 volts.

The output cans switch DC or mains. WARNING: Using mains electricity can be dangerous and should only be attempted by qualified people.

This kit includes:
3 x 100Kohm resistors
3 x 220ohm resistors
1 x 47Kohm resistors
1 x 1Mohmpotentiometer
1 x 10Mohm potentiometer
2 x 1N4001 diodes
2 x 5mm red LEDs
1 x 100uF capacitors, electrolytic
1 x 4.7uF capacitors, electrolytic
1 x 2N7000 n-channel FET
2 x 2 way terminal blocks
1 x 3 way terminal blocks
1 x LM324 operational amplifier IC

This kit is supplied as a pack of parts and requires soldering. Supplied in a poly bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from seems ok but relay chatters after time delay wanted this as an intruder alarm controlled via remote control socket and plug in power supply. The timer was delay on break which was good as the alarm woud sound for tiime then reset..a n/c magnetic reed switch wired to the input triggered the relay on breaking which was good.. There was no drawing of the pcb included which was dissapointing but I found this on the kitronic web site as well as useful description of how the circuit worked.. on opening the input the relay energised fine but in timer mode as the voltage decreased thro the capicitor when it reached the ref voltage (.8v on mine) the relay coil chattered for maybe 2 seconds before openng so dont know what effect this will have maybe burn the contacts on the pcb relay...Also some of he terminals were ridiculously close for soldering. the fet transistor for example could easily been further apart. had fun buliding it and messing about with it but dont now f it will work for its intended purpose

No, there is no timer component on this system.

Is the relay able to switch 240V 30Watts inductive (like a small fan) ? Also circuit information as previous question. Thanks

When I used this device I powered it with a 12v dc plug in power supply unit then took this thro a 5v voltage regulator (n67ca) for the device....If you did this you could use the 12v via the relay output to power a 12v dc (coil) relay and that could switch the mains,,,This also has the advantage that it keeps the low voltage and mains voltage sperate. I would also suggest that unless you are pretty cofident of your ability it would be best not to work with mains voltage.. you have to understand how relays work etc.
