Product overview

  • Fixed voltage regulator

  • 2A
  • 15V
  • 500mA Short circuit current
  • TO Style case
  • ±4% Tolerance

This positive 15V fixed voltage regulator has a quiescent current of 8mA, a short circuit current of 500 mA, a ripple rej. of between 46 and 54dB and is housed in a TO220 style case. The output voltage has a tolerance of ±4%. The input voltage range has an upper limit of +35V.

Am I correct in saying this regulator only needs a 0.33uf capacitor at the input & 0.1uf capacitor at the output or will it require something like a 470uf capacitor at the input for reasonable smoothing. Thank you.

Can I put two or more of these regulators (of the same voltage) in parallel with a common heatsink to increase the load current? eg two 9V 2A regulators in parallel to increase current output to 4A).
