Re the previous question about an IR activated switch, it's part of a mirror which turns on sometimes when a light in another room is switched on. I need to filter out mains borne EMI.

I need a capacitor to connect across L and N input to an IR activated switch to prevent clicks on the mains falsely turning it on. Am considering an LCR Metallised Polypropylene 500V 0.47uF Capacitor. Your thoughts?
