  • 0.5 3V-18V driver that will sequentially light ten LEDs in dot mode
  • Will light all LEDs indicating voltages below input in bar mode

An LED driver that will sequentially light ten LEDs when a gradually increasing voltage is applied to pin 5, (dot mode) or in bar mode all LEDs indicating voltages below input are lit. In dot mode there is a slight overlap so that at no point are all LEDs extinguished. A brightness control will set LED current between 2mA and 30mA. The drivers are stackable and displays with 100 or more LEDs are possible. Supply voltage 3V to 18V. The driver that sets the indication points can be referenced to a wide range of voltages. The LM3914 is available with linear steps.

Could I be provided with a diagram of pin connections, and a circuit diagram for using this driver for feeding just four 1w, 3.5v leds constantly lit. Thanks

 In the bar mode,  what maximum input voltage causes no outputs to be active, and what minimum input voltage causes all outputs to be active? In the dot mode, is just one output active, except during transition from one to the next?
