How does it detect lies?
This kit demonstrates the basic principles of lie detection. Using small components it detects the change of resistance of the skin in the presence of sweat. By doing this it will illuminate either the green LED for true or the red LED for false allowing you to find out whether someone is lying or not.

How difficult is this to put together?
This kit is for the beginner due to the less complex nature of the components. It is a great tool for teaching children and the less technically advanced the basics of circuitry. It is advised that children are supervised when handling a soldering iron as these can be hot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was bought as part of a gift for our 8 year old daughter who loves all things science, and cool stuff like this lie detector kit, (also the voice changer). It kept everyone at a recent large family party entertained. It was very Impressive at how accurate it was and how it 'caught' out all those family members trying to trick it and lie!!!! A pretty impressive piece of kit at a very small price, the cheapest party game that has spanned all ages at a party that I've ever bought!!! Would definitely recommend it its a must have for all homes!!! Anyone who calls at our house is 'subjected' to a lie detector test the fun goes on and on!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am unable to review the product as it was bought as a Secret Santa present. The service I received however, was first class.

Is this designed as a bit of a laugh and just for fun or does this really work?

The lie detector always turns off the green light indicating a lie - never turns off the red light.
