What can I expect from this router?
Suitable as an upgrade for an existing modem router or for a network that lacks a modem, the Linksys XAC1200 will allow network access to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). It offers you the functionality of a fast, stable wireless connection along with uninterruptable high-speed wired ports provided by the router.

What can I expect from the wireless connection?
This router modem uses dual band antenna with beamforming technology, which allows a directed signal to your wireless devices. This gives a stable connection. A 300Mbps 2.4GHz band takes care of all of your daily wireless network traffic, allowing multiple users to browse the internet or check email. A second 867Mbps 5GHz band run simultaneously and provides supported devices with extra bandwidth. This can be used for wireless tasks that transfer large amounts of data, for example large file transfers or media streaming for a small network. Also featured is a WPS button, which allows you to effortlessly pair supported devices with this router.

What wired connections are offered on this modem router?
An RJ11 ADSL port allows direct connection to your phone line, and you are also provided with four 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports. These will give your wired network an uninterrupted link with transfer speeds of up to 1000Mbps. The included USB 3.0 port allows you to attach devices such as printers or external hard drives to your network, which allows other users to share a printer or stream media to a DLNA supported device.

Can I manage my network with this router modem?
Included with the XAC1200 modem router is the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi application. This can be used with a web browser, portable iOS or Android device to manage and monitor your network usage across your devices using some powerful management tools. Parental controls allow you to deny access to restricted or distracting web content. Quality of Service (QoS) lets you prioritise network usage by giving you the freedom to assign network bandwidth across your users.
Guest Access provides a separated wireless network for visitors, keeping your networked devices hidden and your passwords safe.

HI, the power supply that you connect the telephone line to is a RJ45 but only a RJ11 was supplied? does the RJ11 worrk in the RJ45 socket? thanks

Asked by: pringle
The RJ11 cable should connect to the included APM103 ADSL2+ Power Modem, there should be a socket next to the had wired output cable and beneath the reset button. The attached fly-lead from this modem will connect to the 'Internet' labeled internet on the router itself to provide the connection to the router.

I'm wanting to replace a BT business hub 3 with this router, what are the settings this router would need to work with a BT Click account?

Asked by: David
The router needs to be programmed with your user account settings to work correctly. If you are unsure of this information it can be obtained from your service provider.
