Be spoilt for options with the 18 module electronic kit. Build moving robots, cranes or light up your designs with the light wire to create stomping shoes or a glowing unicorn horn - the possibilities are endless. Experiment without limits - the clip on magnetic modules can’t be connected the wrong way round. The modules power from a single <9V (PP3) battery> (included – replacement Order Code L46AL) and with 18 modules you can get design your perfect circuit.
Which modules are included?
With 18 modules this is one of the most versatile littleBits kits. Start your project with a variety of inputs: push button, slide dimmer (ideal for volume and light control), sound trigger, pulse (which turns the output on and off rapidly). the kit also contains a timeout timer which can be set between one second to five minutes - experiment to see which gives the best effect in your circuit. Outputs decide what your circuit does from moving a bot or vehicle using the servos and motor to the light effects of the light wire, sounding a buzzer and setting a colour with the RGB LED. The kit also comes with motor and servo accessories and a screwdriver to make creating even easier.
What can I learn in this kit?
Experiment and learn how to build a circuit. The kit contains easily identifiable modules which are colour coded to make it easy to design your own projects. Power modules always come fist in the circuit and are coloured blue. Pink modules are inputs and control the modules which come after them in the circuit. Outputs are modules that your circuit affects and can move make noises, light up and many more effects. Orange modules are connector and can let you use modules much further apart or connect three different outputs to one input. You can use connector to invert your incoming signal so off is on or latch the incoming signal so the circuit stays on after the first signal until another is sent.
What can I do next?
With 11 circuits and 15 projects in the instruction booklet you can get started with this electronics kit. Try and create your own projects - the sky is the limit. Some projects require additional everyday objects and may require adult supervision if necessary. The options are limitless with each littleBits kit compatible with each other to add even more modules.
