An independent precision voltage comparator designed specifically to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. Operation from split rails is possible and the low power supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the power supply voltage. Unique to the LM393 is that the input common-mode voltage range includes ground, even though operated from a single power supply voltage. Designed to directly interface with TTL and CMOS and when operated from a +/- supply will directly interface with MOS logic. The device is similar to the 392, but offers much lower input offset voltage and draws only half the supply current.
