Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrong Specification Details Camera requires DVR to get most of the functions listed to work and it is not clear in the description that it won't work without it. I returned mine within hours because it does not do what it specifies and I have an email from Maplin accepting that the spec is wrong.

I went in to purchase this A76WC camera in Blanchardstown and was told it does not work with my 1080p Lorex MPX DVR. what does it work with ?? Pls reply asap.

Asked by: Ron2000
It should work fine with a MPX recording unit however the picture quality delivered would be much less than that expected from a 1080p unit.

Will this camera connect to my Swann DVR-44550 system? I'm guessing the receiver unit will be coaxed in to the DVR video input.

Asked by: Nb979
No, unfortunately, this would not be suitable for a Swann system.

What is the maximum distance between the camera and receiver?

Asked by: Savage151
This would be the same as all other WiFi Technology. 100m open range, but reduced signal strength once you introduce walls and obstacles to the signal

Do the cameras need power lead connection to a 12v source? Can I connect system to my iPhone and how can this be done if so.

Asked by: jab123
Yes the cameras require power. To connect to your phone you would require the camera be connected to a Lorex DVR, then you would use an app to connect to the DVR and view the cameras
