Trying to connect to the download app - its asks for thr QR code, i cannot find it on the camera , packaging, anywhere - please help

Asked by: sparky5007
The QR code would be on the NVR unit that the camera is connected to. The camera needs to be connected to a dedicated recording device (see link below) in order to operate. https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/lorex-1080p-8-channel-2tb-nvr-and-4-camera-ip-cctv-kit-a96wc

Hi, Can this camera be fitted to a Swann NVR system that accepts the Swann 860 Poe camera.

Asked by: Bobby
No, unfortunately, this would not be suitable for your system.

Are there different types of NVR that work with different types of IP cameras? Or, is it safe to say that there is an industry standard, and IP cameras work with all NVRs?

Asked by: Andy
Unless specifically stated otherwise, most IP systems would only work with their own models of camera. If additional support for different protocols, for example Onvif, is specified, then generic cameras using that protocol should be compatible.

Does the ethernet cable from the IP camera have to connect directly to an NVR? Or can it pass indirectly to the NVR via a switch or hub?

Asked by: Andy
This would have to be wired directly into an NVR.
