The maximum current is 6A. Some switches become unreliable at low currents. What is the minimum current (resistive) for reliable operation?

Asked by: shedbuilder
Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not provided the lowest possible current for the item.

Further to my question about using it as a 12VDC application. The 6A max current I assume is in a standard state. However, if this is controlling a motor, then there will be an initial surge current. What max could this be?

Asked by: garry25267
The 6A stated is the MAXIMUM safe current that the switch is rated for.

I intend to use for a 12V DC application. What is the max current rating for 12V DC?

Asked by: Garry25267
We would not recommend going over the 6A rating for either 250AC or 12VDC purposes as this is the parameter in which it has been tested.

I intend using the swich with 240V ac. Is there an insulated socket for the terminals or alternatively an enclosure for the switch to obviate the possibility of coming into contact with live terminals?

My switch has only two terminals, it's basically on off for my cooker hood which powers light and fan when button depressed. Would this switch work if only two terminals connected?
