Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for music production - don't know why it's in 'PA Accessories' section ... :) I needed a new soundcard with ASIO as my old Creative Audigy wouldn't fit into a PCIe slot. I was pondering over which one, was going to go for an internal Creative card but changed my mind in store and picked up a USB one instead, mainly as it brought the headphone socket to a more accessible place. I am *so* glad I wandered round the shop and saw this! Effortless to set up and the ASIO drivers work perfectly with Native Instruments, Reason and Sonar on Windows 10 with zero latency. Headphone quality is superb. The unit is solidly built with nice controls. The bundled software is the icing on the cake :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job and then some. An entry level audio interface that allows for two inputs and outputs for stereo monitors. It's a fairly simple piece of hardware, and looks very nice. The main reason I'm writing this review is that bundled with the kit, M Audio were kind enough to give out a variety of plugins worth £100+ to go with it, making it all the more fitting to add to a personal studio room. Excellent value and quality.

Can the phantom power be used on both inputs simultaneously? i.e. 2 phantom powered microphones going through it at the same time, recording to 2 separate individual tracks? Thanks

Asked by: Alex
You can find this detail on page 4 of the user manual provided on the product listing. 3. +48V Switch: This switch activates and deactivates phantom power for Inputs 1 and 2. When activated (lit), phantom power supplies +48V to the XLR mic inputs. Please note that dynamic microphones and ribbon microphones do not require phantom power, while most condenser microphones do. Consult your microphone's documentation to find out whether it needs phantom power.

Would this be suitable to use with my Prosound Studio Condenser Microphone here: http://www.maplin.ie/p/prosound-condenser-studio-microphone-n04ee

Asked by: Kenneth1992
No, unfortunately as the microphone you have specified is a USB microphone this would connect directly into your PC. You would require a microphone with an XLR connection such as; http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/tascam-tm-80-desk-top-condenser-microphone-a83ul
