What is a power bank?
A power bank is a device with an internal battery that will keep your portable devices charged while you are on the move. You can use it to charge smartphones, MP3 players, tablets and other devices. It is charged up through USB power and is compact in design, allowing you to carry the power bank around with you. The LED indicator lights allow you to see the charge status of any attached device, and also show how much juice is left in the power bank.

How does it connect to my device?
This power bank has two USB sockets installed so you can connect a range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and dash cams, directly for charging. Simply connect a suitable USB cable from the power bank directly to your smartphone. Devices with a larger battery such as tablets would best be connected to the 2.1A output to recharge faster. Many devices are supplied with their own USB cable, allowing you to recharge without an additional cable being required. Spare or additional USB cables for many devices are easy to purchase, as many are universally compatible with devices.

Is it rechargeable?
The power bank has a built-in high capacity lithium polymer battery which takes nine hours to recharge to full capacity. The power bank has a micro USB cable included, allowing you to connect the power bank to a mains USB plug and recharge the power bank to full capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the box This is nicely compact for its capacity and a pleasing shape. Has two USB outputs and can drive both simultaneously. Used it for recharging small drone batteries in the field and it does the job. Can see lots of uses. Good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought the power pack a month ago and it has performed exactly as required. Already having a high charge level reduced significantly the time to charge it and therefore be able to use it.

Looking at power banks. Does the mAh rating determine how fast it recharges and what is the typical tine to recharge a smart phone?

Asked by: gorton405
mAh is a measurement unit of storage. If a power bank is 10,000 mAh and your device draws 1000 ma per hour then the pack will provide enough power to run for 10 hours. The recharge time will vary from device to device but would typically be roughly the same as when charging from a standard USB mains charger.

Just bought this and am trying to charge my iPhone SE, however it stops charging after about 2 minutes. When the button is pressed it resumes, but obviously I can't do this every 2 minutes. Also says it is fully charged. Is there a problem with my lead

Asked by: gennn
This could be a faulty unit or indeed a faulty cable yes, and may need exchanging.

Asked by: Bailey_boy_1001
It's difficult to offer any advice without further information. Perhaps if you contacted our technical support helpline on 0333 400 9500 and explained the full details of the issue in particular the tablet you own, the cables you are using and the difficulty you are experiencing with the item, we may then be able to try and offer assistance.
