Do you kn I will if any of the screw driver heads in your 15 piece precision set unscrews the back of a Dell XPS l 15z laptop... I am trying to access the battery which is inside the base of the laptop.

Typically Macs use TRI-WING screws. There are no TRI-WING screwdrivers in this kit.

You would have to check your laptop screws as different manufactures use different screw types.

Are the star tore pieces hollow

The torx screwdrivers in this set are solid (standard torx) A torx bit with a hollow would be a "security torx"
