What is a power bank?
A power bank is a device with an internal battery that will keep your portable devices charged while you are on the move. You can use it to charge smartphones, MP3 players, tablets and other devices. It is charged up through USB power and is compact in design, allowing you to carry the power bank around with you. The LED indicator lights allow you to see the charge status of any attached device, and also show how much juice is left in the power bank.

How does it connect to my device?
The power bank has two built-in USB sockets so you can connect a range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and dash cams directly for charging. Simply connect a suitable USB cable from the power bank directly to your smartphone. Many devices are supplied with their own USB cable, allowing you to recharge without an additional cable being required. Spare or additional USB cables for many devices are easy to purchase, as many are universally compatible with devices.

Is it rechargeable?
The power bank has a built-in lithium-ion battery which takes 8.5 hours to recharge to full capacity. The power bank has a micro USB cable included, allowing you to connect the power bank to a mains USB plug and recharge the power bank to full capacity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor reusable life. I bought this product back in August, was very happy initially until it died in mid November, it would charge up from the mains but wouldn't charge my phone (used multiple cables and devices, proved it to be the charger) was able to get an exchange, but this latest one has only lasted the grand total of a fortnight before having the same issue. Really very annoyed that for £40 the battery pack lasts less time than a cheap £10 one I bought back in June this year. Absolutely appaling, worst decision I made was buying this. I would never recommend this product, at all. If you can but anything else other than this, do so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely brilliant! After the above review I though I'd give my opinion. Which is the complete opposite! Bought this item mainly for Pokémon GO. Anyone using this app knows how much power it demands. I removed it from the box and it was 2 bars out of 4 charged. Managed to fully charge my iPhone 6 while using the app for over half the charging time. Then fully charge the 3500mAh 18650 battery in my vape. Was quire impressed! Fully charged the unit overnight. 2 complete iPhone 6 charges from under 10% battery, and an iPad 2 from 4% to full. Now charging the vape again. Unit is down to 1 bar which is now flashing, so I'm guessing it's low now. Not surprised due to the size of the iPad battery. Unit itself is about the size of my phone but about 3 times the depth. Fits in a pocket pretty easily. Can charge any usb device and comes with a 3 year guarantee. What more could you want!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Charged iPhone twice No better than my old tiny power bank. Full charge to zero after partial top up of iPhone 6 and full charge of iPhone 4s

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed. Waste of money Worked well for about a month. Then one pot packed up completely. I struggled with it for several more months but it has now only charging my phone for 10 minutes before it closes down. Total waste of money and Maplin would not replace it without the original receipt....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pants Brought this for work and only used it three times and now the 2 amp outlet does nothing. This renders it completely useless for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most affordable battery pack on the market Ok so this is an amazing battery pack I'm using iPhone 6 Plus s and it charges it 4 and a half times in one day if you have an iPhone 4-5 it will charge up 6 times in one day. Charing time dose take about 60 min to fully charge the phone. These pack are a little bit on the heavy side but don't let that out you off as I've got it in my back pocket whilst walking and charging at the same time. The only downside the the charging time when you first open it up it charge half way so charging it fully only takes about two hours 3 hours you will se the batter indicator showing how much charge left. So charge this thing over night if you can. The two usb slots are awesome as you can charge two devices at the same time Bad points So it only comes with a micro usb which is a bit small lead like so shot you would not believe. I guess it's ok for charging a phone in a bag.... Just ‼️ If you wanting to charge this battery then your going to have to buy a longer lead and a decent usb plug to charge this thing. If you don't want to buy another plug then use a Samsung plug or iPad plug which is the bigger white plug not then small one. Either way you will need a longer lead.

Can I also charge my laptop using this power bank? Would I use the 1A or the 2.1A. Laptop (HP Spectre 360) is usually charged through the mains using an HP 'transformer' with an output of 19.5 volts, 2.31 A. Thanx

Asked by: Des5576
Unfortunately this would not work for that purpose, you cannot charge a laptop via USB
