What would I use this PIR sensor for?
This sensor can be fitted to outdoor lights rated up to 1200W in order to provide a motion activated trigger to switch the light on. It has an IP44 rating that makes it suitable for outdoor use.

What can I expect from the PIR sensor?
The PIR sensor works with up to 1200W incandescent, 200W fluorescent or 200W LED light sources. It features an adjustable light sensor so that you can determine the light level under which the PIR becomes active. The sensor can be adjusted vertically and horizontally as required.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from PIR detector up, running and working well Bought this to replace one which has been dead for years. Had it up and adjusted in an hour. It lights an 8 W LED bulb above the front door. Great to be able to see the keyhole after dark!

My sensors are easily tripped by wind blowing through (well trimmed) rose bushes, along the inside of a 1.8m x 8m brick wall. Do I need to change to a "pet tolerant" PIR sensor or even an infrared light beam? (Infrareds I have seen do not run on 240V.)

Asked by: Graham
As with all motion detection the item is doing exactly what it is supposed to do . You could try changing any sensitivity setting if applicable with the unit.

Could I use 2 of these sensors on one light, enabling activation from 2 different areas?

Asked by: Richie W
You could run the signal wires from the sensors back to a relay then light the lights from a normally open contact on the relay. Code: N13AW
