What can I expect from the PIR sensor?
The PIR sensor works with up to 1200W incandescent, 200W fluorescent or 200W LED light sources. It features an adjustable light sensor so that you can determine the light level under which the PIR becomes active.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Usual terrible Maplin quality Bought 2nd today, as first was so sensitive on off on off all the time. Same problem, and also bought PIR floodlight that filled with water after a week. I have bought weather station, garden lights and tablets from Maplin, all have been faulty and been returned or swapped out. New Year's resolution: full refund and never buy from here again. Upside - great staff who could do with great products to sell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I use it in my hallway I hooked this up to a hallway lamp, I think it switches live and neutral (can't remember) but works brilliantly... Sometimes the radiator sets this off, but quite rarely... best automation ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect PIR I've bought a few of these over the years and they are extremely good. I buy them from Maplin because I can order on line and they will put my item aside for me to pick up later. Great system, great product, great price.
