Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for beginners I received this as a Christmas present, and I have loved it. It includes most equipment that is needed for a beginner to electronics, with the exception of a soldering iron stand and desoldering pump. The iron works perfectly, however it does not have a variable temperature control but this is not a necessity as a beginner. I would definitely recommend this product to any electronics newbies.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful - do not buy this unless you need a paperweight Soldering iron tip blackened on first use and the provided solder just rolls off. Indicates the tip wasn't properly coated and the temperature is wrong. Waste of money - going to demand a refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice starter kit Purchased this when i started soldering projects. Good starter kit for price with plenty of items. No problems with soldering iron still working with original tip 3 months and many projects later.
