Connect your devices to a truck, car or solar panel
This 24V 600W inverter is a converter that connects to a sealed lead acid (SLA) battery that is usually connected to a car, a truck or a solar panel. The inverter can connect to the battery either through a car accessory plug or by clipping directly to the battery. A mains powered device can then be plugged directly into the inverter’s AC socket.

Charge a small TV, DVD or laptop
This Maplin 24V 600W inverter connects directly to the vehicle’s battery using alligator clips while being positioned, using the included mounting holes, to keep the inverter out of the way. It can power a device up to 600W, such as a small television, a DVD player or a laptop. It is highly efficient, converting over 85% of its energy into output power. It is fitted with a 2.1A socket to charge a wide range of items such as a Smartphone, MP3 player or Tablet while keeping the mains socket available for a different device. The inverter includes shutdown protection to power down the inverter if the battery power drops below a certain level.

Power your laptop printer or charger
A modified sinewave inverter can power devices such as laptops, printers and chargers, although some items may pick up interference from the inverter. A solution for this is to upgrade to a pure sinewave inverter. A pure sinewave inverter is used to power sensitive electronic devices such as power motors, power tools, clocks or microwaves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, full 600w no problem. My fault but I got the input polarity reversed and blew all 3 - 15 amp flat car type fuses. It would be better if there was a trip system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stumbled upon this in the Salisbury Maplin store. I live in Malawi, Africa and we have frequent electricity blackouts. The inverter has worked it's magic for over a year now faithfully. We simply bought a car battery and a battery charger. We've had to change the fuses twice (all of them - 3 - each time) but they are readily available in car parts shops and cheap.

Would this run a home jet wash or a hover . And also can I connect this to My van battery to run my jet wash

Asked by: Chrispana
This runs off a 24v battery. If the wattage of your items is below 600W this will work fine.

Hello, this is a weird question but I'm looking for a 24v battery to make a iontophoresis machine. I need to connect a 24v battery to 2 stainless steel pans containing water. It is a treatment for very sweaty hands. Would this battery connect to the pans?

Asked by: Lizzie01
No, I am sorry but the item will not be suitable.

No, you would need to be confident in connecting to the battery terminals. If unsure, please contact a qualified auto technician.

Confused about the 24 volt. Can this item be used with a standard 12 volt leisure battery or not. I have read a report from a Maplin member of staff saying no it can't and I have spoken to a Maplin member of staff who says yes it can. Whom shall I believe

Asked by: Ian W
This requires a 24VDC input supply to operate, so would not work from a single 12V leisure battery. For that you would need the 12V inverter like the following;
