  • 240VAC mains socket to power a product without any additional converters
  • 24VDC power directly from the vehicle’s battery using the terminal connectors
  • Weighing only 1.5kg, the mountable metal design (190 x 113 x 62mm) allows the inverter to be in its ideal position without becoming an obstruction
  • 2.1A USB socket to charge an additional device such as a Smartphone or Tablet
  • Shutdown protection against overload

Power your devices from a car, truck or solar panel
This Maplin 24V 800W Inverter is a converter that connects to a sealed lead acid (SLA) battery that is usually connected to a car, a truck or a solar panel. The 800W inverter can connect to the battery either through a car accessory plug or by connecting directly to the battery using the terminal connectors. A mains powered device can then be plugged directly into the inverter’s AC socket.

Energy efficient and safe to use
This 24V 800W Inverter connects directly to the vehicle’s battery through alligator clips while being mounted in a position that is not an obstruction. The inverter can power a device up to 800W, such as a hairdryer, an induction hob or kettle. It is highly efficient, converting over 85% of its energy into output power. It is fitted with a 2.1A USB socket to charge a wide range of items such as Smartphones, MP3 players or Tablets, keeping the mains socket available for another device. The inverter includes shutdown protection to power down the inverter if the battery power drops below a certain level.

Charge everyday devices
A modified sinewave inverter can power less sensitive devices such as laptops, printers and chargers, although some items may pick up interference from the inverter. A solution for this is to upgrade to a pure sinewave inverter. A pure sinewave inverter is used to power sensitive electronic devices such as power motors, power tools, clocks or microwaves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what is stated I was warned not to get this item by the guys who fitted it as it was cheap and likely to be unreliable for what I was using it for. But I thought for £20 if it breaks then I would take it back worth a try... 3 weeks later and it's still going well. I operate and Xbox one, 29" TV and a slow cooker from my 24v truck on it which draws close to 700w. The inverter is very quiet and fan is automatic which means it's not constantly under stress, only activated when slightly over heated and usually goes off after a short while

Does this come with a cig plug adaptor and will it power a kettle for my truck

Asked by: Faggy29
This is a 24v inverter so can only be used with a 24v power source. It does NOT come with a cigarette plug as 800w is too great a load for the cigarette socket. This is an 800w inverter so will work with devices that draw 800w or less.

Can you use this through your cigerette lighter to charge things

Asked by: Rosslad76
Sorry but the question is just too ambiguous to supply a reliable answer. What vehicle do you intend to use the inverter in ... e.g. CAR/VAN/TRUCK Does that vehicle have a 24v DC socket or is it 12v and lastly ... "things" is far to generic a description to be able to provide an accurate answer. You can use this inverter in any vehicle that has a 24v DC cigarette lighter style socket, you can use it to power a great range of 240v electrical devices as long as you do not exceed the stated maximum wattage of the inverter. It's worth noting that some electrical devices will only work if you have a TRUE SINEWAVE inverter, please supply details of the item you intend to use so we can advise further.

Would this power a 700w microwave oven from a 24v truck battery system

Asked by: Taffytrucket
Sorry this would not be suitable 700W is the equivalent heating power of the microwave. The actual load would be much greater Typically a 700w microwave draws about 1100w on load.

if i plug this to my wagon will it run 12v things like tv Xbox 1 ect

Asked by: mike
This is a 800w modiefied sinewave unit, as long as the total load of the equipment you connect does not exceed 800w then it will power it. It's worth noting that some electronic devices require a pure sinewave inverter in order to operate correctly, this would most certainly be the case with a games console.

Would this run a 500W fan heater?

Asked by: cyclist kate
yes . pure sine wave is only required for delicate electrical units like with lithium batteries and microwaves, which require a pure wave for charge and use, as voltage fluctuations can damage the plugged in item. otherwise yes it will.
