The 30cm long Flexlight band has 18 integrated 2mm SMD LEDs that powerfully light the very last corner of your case with intense light. The 4-Pin Molex connector allows for connection to any PSU and therefore allows installation in just about any PC. Installation is easy and quick and can be done with the glue strip already applied to the backside of the band. This way the Flexlight can be installed inside or outside of the case, wrapped around the reservoir or simply be glued to the bottom of the case to light the inside of the PC. The use of LEDs makes the band extremely power-efficient and cool-running. The Flexlight is also waterproof and can withstand strong shocks. The quality of these bands is absolutely outstanding, which is the reason why they are so versatile and durable!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty crummy Sure, the light is nice and bright, but that's where the good points end. First, the Molex power connector is *very* flimsy and the pins move around loose, so plugging it in is something of a struggle. Second, the strip gets hot, and as it warms up the adhesive softens until the strip eventually falls off; I've had to secure mine to the inside of the case with electrical tape. Overall, once it's installed it's fine, but this is about as bargain basement as you can get. (And as an aside, there are only three letters in my name, and indeed *many* names, so why do reviews require four?)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bright, but not as flexible as it sounds! I bought it this week and installed it, the cable doesn't have actual cable management in mind, and took me a good 20 minutes to wire it into my case through the back. It's nice and bright and durable, the glue doesn't leave residue when u take it off, but wondering how durable the actual glue attached is for re placement, overall a nice touch, would have liked a longer power cable for it however!

I wanted to use these lights to make a light box for drawing. Is there any way I can power it through mains, or does the power have to come through a PC?

Asked by: GPtaz
The strip requires a 12v DC power supply. You could use a mains transformer or LED lighting driver rated at 12V DC output to convert a mains supply if required.
