I bought one of these the other day, and they are pretty good. However I have a component with a connector that's exactly the same shape, but smaller. What is the technical name for these?

In point of fact this type of plug is called an Aviation Connector GX12 for this size. Aviation Connectors are available in different diameters, but Maplin only stock the 12mm diameter size. Aviation Connectors are generally available in sizes at 4mm intervals... eg. GX8 GX12 GX16 & etc. They are used for instance as CB Radio Microphone Lead Plugs, and for Aircraft radios, and other signal and power applications, where secure dustproof connections are essential.

Do you stock a 5 pin version that would be suitable for replacing the coil connectors on a Minelab FBS metal detector?
