How much air does this fan move and is it loud?
This small fan is great for cooling chipsets, hard drives and for providing cooling for home theatre PCs (HTPCs) or small form factor cases, since it moves a high amount of air while emitting low levels of noise. Spinning at 4000RPM, this fan can move 18.7 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air, which generates fantastic airflow despite its size. Although the fan spins at such a high RPM it is nearly completely silent, with only 18.7dBA noise created.

Where should I place this fans?
With plenty of airflow generated by this fan, it is best to locate it in open locations where little is obstructing the fan. You could use the fan as an exhaust fan for your rig, or as an intake fan for side panels or the bottom of your case.

The air flow specification is incredible. At this small size 18cfm is very hard to believe. Can you please confirm the specifications are accurate? 40x40x10mm, 4000rpm, 19dbA. Other 40mm fan have can do about 10cfm, but deeper, faster, noisier.

CFM has two types - "Theoretical Displacement" and "Free Air Delivery." Most fans quote the FAD value but I suspect this fan is quoting TD. TD is normally about a third of FAD, but varys, giving this fan around 6 or 7 CFM (in FAD.)

This fan says it's 18.7 cfm but also says its 18.7db which leads me to think you have messed the data up somewhere.  Can you confirm the CFM please,  Thanks

I have just checked the item and it seems these values are true, just a happy coincidence.
