A 4mm plug with sprung, nickel-plated pin to ensure good contact. Pin is 15mm long and overall length is 48mm. This plug is suitable for use with the 4mm sockets, below.

Are these available with black insulation or only yellow? If anyone is interested they are a great fit in an old vintage radio such as a Bush VHF 64 in the old 1/8th inch sockets. They are made differently to most 4mm plugs and squash down and fit well.

I have got an old record player with speakers from the 60's that connect via 4mm banana clips, is it possible to rewire the connection so the double banana clip will go to a 3.5mm Aux jack cable to connect to a phone? or would I need an additional amp?

On this occasion Maplin do not stock a product that exactly meets your requirements, or indeed anything close enough to offer you as an alternative.
