Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent purchase Brilliant little tv , excellent picture quality , easy to use and quick to set up and install . Worth getting a booster aerial for the hard to pick up signal areas but the aireals supplied does the job, a little on the expensive side but still worth every penny as purchased as a gift .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pathetic signal quality I bought this last week as a Xmas present to be used in the kitchen by my mother. Despite moving the unit with included aerial around the house, it is impossible to get enough of a signal to tune it in correctly. I went back to the shop where I purchased it and was told I needed to attach it to the mains aerial because we are in a poor signal area. So I have purchased a portable TV that needs to be connected to a mains aerial?!? Useless. I'm a pretty regular Maplin customer but this has really annoyed me so I'll be taking my technology custom elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits the bill! Purchased for second tv use in a motor home. Mainly for early morning/daytime tv or if the lounge area is left as bedroom during the day. It's a nice little tv that is easy to use and set up and is a great size for packing or storing away while travelling. Only criticism is that the maximum volume is not brilliant and may not those that are hard of hearing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect little tv Tuned in without a problem remote so no need to use buttons on TV. Might need some speakers as volume can be a bit quiet but will see how it goes. Overall very pleased

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Portable TV I bought this to use away from my house. The TV works well, easy to set up, but the only disadvantage is that programs with night scenes are rather dark even after adjusting the controls. Apart from that it has provided me with considerable enjoyment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Super telly let down by poor speakers Telly is good quality and the menu system easy to use. However the sound is rubbish. It has to be up to maximum just to listen to it. What is more annoying is the company that make this unit for Maplin know about the issue and have issued an update for there units but not this unit.

How do you attach the tv to the base, I've slid the 1 part onto the tv but can't figure how to connect the base. I feel something is missing either a part or some of my brain cells

I can only advise that if you are having difficulty then visit one of our stores where a member of staff can assist.

Can this item be used in a minibus. Does it need a separate aerial.

If you have a 12v accessory socket this will work fine. It would require an external aerial.

Can the USB port allow playing video as well as viewing photos, and is this used for the 'PVR'?

Asked by: dgfgrdfdgr
You can play video as long as it is in MPEG4 format, the PVR function records to USB but uses a proprietary file format that can only be played back on the device it was recorded on.

Does the stand turn upside down so it can gang from the bottom of a kitchen cupboard please?

Asked by: Craig
actually, it is easily possible to mount the stand upside down, then attach the screen to the stand in its normal orientation. I have one hanging from the roof of my shed.
