Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Sheets (Maplins own) kept sticking and ruffling up until one got stuck completely inside the laminator. I sent a question: My barely used laminator (I had previously laminated one A4 poster!) has 'eaten' a sheet which I cannot remove as there is nothing sticking out that I can pull. I have tried the release button to no avail. Can it be fixed or is it a write off already? The reply: "A response was sent yesterday confirming that unfortunately nothing can be done to remove the stuck part"......No apology, no reason. And then my original question was removed from public view.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke first time using I bought this laminator today and used it as soon as I got home. Turned it on and let it heat up and it seemed ok. After a minute of being at full temperature, a worrying amount of steam started coming out of the machine so I waited a little while and it stopped. Once it stopped I set up my laminating sheet and started feeding it into the machine. I then noticed it wasn't coming out the other side... we carried on feeding it through but nothing came out the other side. So we switched it off and the whole thing is now stuck in the machine. I've read online that apparently there's no way to remove the paper so we've just lost our money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says. First Time Laminating Bought one of these 2 days ago, just getting it going. Not the best instructions for a novice, but watched a couple of YouTube vids to find out the basics. Then read the instructions again, and the text is pretty clear. Worked flawlessly. Used Maplins own A6 pouches. Very happy with my cheap and cheerful laminator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great laminator I bought this laminator about 6 months ago and it is great. I must have laminated over 1000 sheets and it has never crinkled a sheet up or got jammed. Definitely worth the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Success rate of about 40% I bought this to laminate children's homework. I have a success rate of about 40%, the other 60% having to be pulled back m, crinkled, damaged or completely ruined out of the machine. I'm not asking it to do anything more difficult than laminating single bits of paper! Very disappointing and frustrating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super little machine. I bought this a couple of months ago and I've been really pleased with how it has handled everything I have put through it. This was my first experience as a Maplin customer, but I am sure to be ordering again in the future.

I need to laminate photographs but the laminators I have used so far affect the colour - does this product laminate and the colour of the photos remain the same?

Asked by: Anne Marie
All Hot Laminators will cause colour issues in photos, using the cold function and some cold pouches this should prevent the issue.

I received this as a Christmas present 10 months ago. It has stopped working in both hot and cold modes. The ready light does not come on. The items put through do not laminate. What can I do?

How thick are the hot lamination pouches? Are they durable? Is there any degree of static cling to prevent sliding about on a surface like a car dashboard?

Asked by: Aidan
This information is on the overview of the item - The sheets will slide on a car's dash, as they are standard laminated pouches.

I have your A4 laminator and am thinking about the A3 one. But how does the cold lamination setting work? Are there cold lamination pouches, and do you sell them? Tried the cold setting with one of your hot lamination pouches and it didn't seal. We bought your laminator because it advertised hot and cold laminating. Thanks.
Asked by: Ashley Evans
That’s right you need cold pouches to be used on the cold setting , and unfortunately we don’t sell them .
