How does powerline plugs benefit my home network?
The Maplin AV500 Nano powerline kit offers the potential to expand your network by using your mains electrical circuit. Two plugs, when connected, allow you to create a link to your network router without long runs of Ethernet cable. The plugs can detect each other up to a distance of 300 metres when installed on the same electrical circuit. This makes this system ideal for connecting network devices that may be positioned in remote locations throughout your home.

How fast is this powerline kit?
This powerline kit has a rating of up to 500Mbps*, which makes it great for streaming media or gaming across a network. Built in quality of service features and mains filtering give you stable communication between the powerline plugs when you are running bandwidth-heavy applications on your network.

Is this powerline kit easy to install?
This kit contains all you need to get started. Simply plug both devices into a mains outlet, connect your router to one plug and an Ethernet enabled device to the other. Then switch on both mains outlets and pair the plugs using the pair button. That’s all you need to do – there’s no drilling or long Ethernet cables required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well! Purchased on-line for home delivery.....easy to use website.... fast delivery.... no problems! Product does what it says .... easy to set up and works brilliantly! Only complaint would poss be that the Ethernet cables provided with the product are very short wires but that’s it!

Hi. Are these units compatible with an existing Devolo D500 system?

Asked by: HVEman
For adapters of other brands,if they adopt the same standard, they should also be compatible with TP-LINK adapters. However, different brands’ products will have different ways to pair and configure,it might be much easier to use adapters from the same brand.

Further to the question regarding multi packs. Does this mean if I used two packs one of the units would act as the master connected directly to the router and the other three would connect to different devices in different rooms and all three will work?

Asked by: Allan
Yes, this is product would do exactly that.

Where is the software, or how else do you bond to an existing net with any existing password? And, if there is ever the need to update the firmware, how could I go about doing that? I ask, having had mixed experiences with both TPLink and netgear

Asked by: Stevel
These are hard wired Powerline plugs, they have no Wi-Fi capability. You "bond" by plugging a cable from the plug into the back of your router, hard line connections do not need passwords.
