About this product

Product overview

  • RJ45 crimp-on connectors are ideal for use with shielded, stranded twisted pair network cable
  • Separate cable guide helps cores to be aligned in the right order easily before insertion and crimping
  • 50µ" gold plated for reliability

RJ45 crimp-on connectors for use with shielded, stranded twisted pair network cable. A clever design with separate cable guide that allows cores to be aligned in the correct order easily before insertion and crimping. Connections are 50µ" gold plated for reliability. For Cat 6 cabling, use Order Code N19CH (for stranded cables) or N20CH (for solid cables).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some instructions would be nice for beginners. I found it best to.. Strip about 40mm of the outer Fold the foil screen back over the outer Insert the cores into the guide in the right order Push the guide on as far as possible Trim cores to end of guide Insert into shell and check the cores are in far enough (eg they should reach the end of the shell inside) Crimp Trim off any exposed foil Once you get the hang of it these do seem easier to use than the type without a guide. The guide makes it easier to ensure the inner cores are in the right order. In case it's not obvious.. The connector contacts pierce the guide and into the cores when crimped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are the most simple RJ45 connectors I have ever used. Due to the little wire guide device, miss-wires and bad connections have been totally eliminated. They have cut our network cable termination time by 75%.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yup, avoid. Requires incredibly precise alignment to get the pins to bite into the cables. Have plenty of experience crimping but wasted four of the connectors before I got two correctly crimped. Avoid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid. Absolutely useless. Have made many of these cables before, no issues. Not one of the pack of 20 (I bought 2xpacks of 10) would actually crimp. They are weak and I could see that the pins had bent around the wires instead of biting into them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I needed to fit 1 shielded rj45 end. As an electrician, I am used to fitting standard one piece plugs. I ruined 6 of these ends trying to get a good crimp before giving up. Utter waste of time and money. Why, when simple solutions exist, would someone produce these?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Some instructions would be nice. I've wasted a whole day nearly trying to attach a cable to the connector, and still it's not working.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It would have been nice if there had been 10 guides to match the 10 plug bodies. There were only 8 so I'm left with 2 unusable bodies.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT USE Purchased to finish of my patching. So frustrating and hard to use. refuse to use them straight in the bin

Where can I find detailed instructions for terminating cables in these plugs - e.g. how much cable sticking out of the guide, how far back to strip the cable, which way up does the cable guide go?
Asked by: EMJB
Strip 20mm from the outer sheathing and untwist the cores and insert into the guide in the correct order (click on PDF icon for wiring diagram). Cut the ends flush with the end of the guide then push into the plug body, making sure the wires are fully under the metal inserts, then crimp.
