Product overview

• 30cm fly lead
• High quality nickel-plated connectors
• Connect 2 HDMI signal sources to 1 HDMI input
• Ideal where only one HDMI input is available
• For use with HD-TV, HD-SAT, HD-DVD and PS3
• HDTV : 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p

An ideal solution for a lack of HDMI inputs on your TV or monitor. This simple to use switch allows two additional devices to be attached to a single HDMI port. The switch is automatic, meaning that it will instantly change to the device you want to use as soon as you switch it on. It also has an override switch allowing manual switching if required. A 30cm flylead attached allows for flexible positioning depending on your wiring arrangement. No additional power is required, as this is supplied from the devices you connect to it, simply plug in and it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was looking for something which would allow me to connect 2 games consoles to one free HDMI socket on my TV. My other HDMIs were filled with a Sky box and Surround Sound, so didn't want to have to unplug one. Also wanted something which didn't require me to manually select the input every time i switched devices. Since I can only use one games console at a time, this seemed to fit the bill. Works great with my PS3 and PS4 and auto-switches to the one that's turned on. I have had no problems with game, DVD or Blue Ray playback on either device through this switch. Well worth the money, quick and easy to install and doesn't require extra power source or HDMI cables!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incompatible with NOW TV box? I bought this 2 way automatic HDMI switch to use with my PVR and a recently purchased NOW TV box. Unfortunately, the fact that the NOW TV box is always on when connected to the mains meant that the automatic switching between the two inputs, which is activated by switching off one unit and switching on the other, couldn't work. I returned it to my local store and, judging by the response of the member of staff, this was not an unknown problem. I am sure that, under different circumstances, the automatic switching feature would work as intended but this product would seem to be unsuitable for use with a NOW TV box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use this for 2 consoles, there was some debate in the shop as to whether this would work as it does not have a power supply. So far it has worked perfectly, if I put the PS4 into standby mode then switch on the 360 it auto changes over and then if I switch off the 360 and turn on the PS4 it switches back. I tried this several times and it has worked every time. Also the picture quality doesn't appear to be effected by it either. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When I got my LCD tv all those years ago they only came with 1 HDMI port. Now with this i can connect my Sky+ box and my Blu ray player and flip between the two when needed. Saves having to get a new tele.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great HDMI swich, but it will only switch back to the last input used. So still have to change from DVD to V+ box manually. Good point, you don't have to buy a new HDMI lead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Purchased to enable Sky box and Bluray to both be connected to single HDMI point on TV. First cable was returned faulty. Second cable works somtimes but never without manual intervention to press the button at the pooit where both inputs plug in. It has recently developed the ability to completely disable the Sky box. YOu then have to resort to 2 signgle cables which defeats the entire objective of buying this cable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was sold as being automatic and this is repeated in the on-line overview. But it isn't, it has to be manually switched on the device, which isn't that much different to plugging one cable out and another in! So it loses 1 star for that and another for being so pricey. Apart from that it works.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I bought this to split the signal from my PC (Radeon HD 7700 graphics card) and Playstation 4 on my desk, to a large Samsung monitor. Both devices will work, providing the other is switched off - but when the PC is turned on, the monitor just flashes black/grey as if it is trying to lock on to the HDMI signal. This then stops the Playstation 4 output from showing too even if the selector switch is pressed.

will this device work with android box.Which is always switched on when the power is on.

Asked by: tonyb
This should be compatible with most HDMI devices. If this unit would be powered on constantly, you may need to use the manual override to switch to the other device connected.

My tv has only 2 hdmi ports, one for "you view" and one for my blu-ray player. Will I need this switch or will a 2 way splitter suffice?

Asked by: Waynus
If you are wanting to add another HDMI device then yes you would need a switch.

Tried this and only one input seems to work. Trying to push a Panasonic DVD/recorder and a google chromecast through it. Both work on one of the sockets. Neither work on the other socket. - even if i push the switch. Is it bust?
